For nine months, we didn’t just witness breathtaking nature —
we also met countless inspiring people.
Each with their own way of seeing life, a unique way of living together,
and a wise vision for the future.

During our journey, we had the privilege of interviewing several of these remarkable souls.
These conversations have been recorded and gathered under the title
“Wisdom Treasures from Around the World.”

Through these wisdom treasures, we hope not only to share the insights and beauty they offered us,
but also to support them in return.

The interviews are spoken in English and subtitled —
with the option to activate Dutch subtitles.

Your access to the interviews remains unlimited.

Te Kani Wharewera

We met Te Kani in Whakatane, on the North Island of New Zealand.
It was a “coincidental” encounter that unfolded into a heartfelt friendship.
To this day, we’re still in weekly contact with our Māori friends —
their guidance and support continue to bless our lives.
That meeting truly was a blessing.

In this interview, we speak with Te Kani about what deeply moved us at the time:
the way they work together as a group during their healing sessions —
in an atmosphere of respect, warmth, and equality.
We also talk about the role of women in Māori culture,
the importance of balancing masculine and feminine energy,
connecting with your Higher Self, and the relationship between religion and spirituality.

With Te Kani, it’s not only what he says that touches you —
it’s the way he is.
The love and warmth he radiates speak just as powerfully as his words.

Hector Gomez

Originally from Argentina, Hector came into contact at a young age with the Indigenous traditions of North America.
He has since travelled the world to teach about these traditions and to lead sacred ceremonies.
We first met him in Belgium, where he had visited several times.
When our journey brought us close to his home in Novato, California, we decided to visit him there.

We were warmly welcomed by Hector, his wife Celia, and their son Julian —
and immediately found ourselves part of a small, intimate ceremony.

In this interview, Hector speaks about the role of women,
the global challenge that the pandemic brought forth,
and shares his reflections on education, water, and fire.
He also offers a heartfelt message for the youth — and for the future.

Rahul Bharti

We’ve known Rahul for several years now.
It was his invitation to Nepal that first sparked the idea for our world journey.
Although we ultimately didn’t travel to Nepal, Rahul was with us every step of the way —
through many phone conversations, guidance, and his warm presence.
To this day, he continues to play an important role in our lives.

What’s so inspiring about Rahul isn’t only his deep knowledge and teachings,
but his radiant energy and heartful way of living.

Rahul’s childhood was extraordinary.
At a very young age, he was trained by spiritual teachers from Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, and Canada.
He is a master in Ancient Massage and a dedicated energy worker.
He is also an expert in Ayurveda — “the science of life.”
His life mission is to support as many people as possible on their journey toward healing.

In this conversation, we speak with Rahul about the relationship between science and healing.
We ask him whether it is truly possible to heal yourself,
and explore his reflections on family, caring for the elderly,
and the importance of meditation in action.

Gilles Neplaz

The way we met Gilles feels almost magical.
We happened to stay at the same eco-retreat on Oʻahu, Hawaii.
Upon our arrival, the coordinator told us that for the next five days
we would be sharing the space with a healer from Canada,
who was there with his 12-year-old daughter.
“He’s not just anyone,” he said — “people are deeply moved by him.”

We quickly understood why.
We met Gilles and his daughter Nepthali as warm, generous souls.
He spoke with great enthusiasm about the forgiveness practice —
which, for me personally, felt like a true gift.
One of the reasons we had come to Hawaii
was to dive deeper into the Hawaiian practice of forgiveness, Ho‘oponopono.

Each time we spoke about it with locals or those who knew the tradition well,
we were told the same thing:
Ho‘oponopono isn’t something you simply learn.
It’s a way of life — a deep, embodied practice —
not something that could be grasped within our short stay on the islands.
Unless, of course, we wanted to learn the Westernized version —
(but anyone who knows us knows that we always seek the authentic path).

Gilles is a Reiki Master, Qigong practitioner, and Tao Hands Healer from Toronto.
He travels the world with his humanitarian work,
and we were deeply touched by his warmth, love, and devotion in service to others.

Gilles and his family have become dear friends of ours.
We invited him to share a short video
about his approach to healing, the power of forgiveness,
and the importance of living in service.

In our final interview, we speak with Ke‘oni Hanalei, a medicine man from Hawaii.
We met Ke‘oni on the island of Maui, one of the Hawaiian archipelago’s islands.
He was the only meeting we had planned in advance — and we were deeply looking forward to it.
Ke‘oni works with ferns, which he calls the oldest plants on our planet.

He descends from a long lineage of Hawaiian medicine people known as MaKa Huna.
The ancestral wisdom of Hawaii was entrusted to him,
particularly by his grandmother, who sensed that it was his mission
to reveal these sacred teachings when the time was right.

That time, it seems, has come.
With Ke‘oni, we talk about the global pandemic and the hidden opportunities within it,
the importance of balance between masculine and feminine energy (in both men and women!),
and the emergence of a new kind of children, whom he calls the Homo Novus.
